Behind the Music
StrayTalk started as a local Port Elizabeth Rock Band, relocated to Gauteng in 2023, the band and their sound have developed and grown in popularity since 2018. Influenced by 70's, 80's and more recent Rock, local bands and musicians and sounds of their hometown, they perform music that speaks to fans across the musical spectrum. Their signature style has become synonymous with a diverse collection of melodies and compositions. This Rock Band is on the rise, and nothing can stop them from achieving the success they work so hard for.

DARREN VAN RENSBURG
Lead Singer/Guitarist 🎙🎸
Darren has been with StrayTalk Band since May 2019. Performing in various bands for more than 20 years, he has brought versatility into the songs the band performs with his vocal range. As Lead Singer, he takes on quite a lot of responsibility, from fine-tuning the musical arrangements to assisting other bandmates with perfecting their performances.
STICKER SMIT
Drummer 🛢
Sticker is truly a shining star. Crowds always love seeing him in full performance mode, and the band couldn’t be happier to have such an incredible Drummer up on stage with them. Very funny and entertaining on stage.
PIERRE MARAIS
Bassist 🎸
Pierre has been with StrayTalk Band since the beginning. He also manages the bookings and admin behind the band. Over time, the nickname "The Entertainer" was given to him, thanks Shirley from Dizzy Dolphin.
FRANCOIS LOUW
Guitarist/Vocals
A band wouldn't be complete without its Guitarist, and StrayTalk Band couldn’t have asked for a better one than the talented FrancoisLouw. He plays an instrumental role in the success and musical progression of the band. Francois comes with years of experience in the music industry.
